Preamble: The information in this website is the result of a
series of discussions that took originally place in the Activist Lounge inside the
Nimbin H.E.M.P Bar between 4.20
PM on June 4th 2004 and 8.40 Pm on June 25 between the
following 1999 Big Joint Veterans; Michael Balderstone; President of
Australian HEMP and
Nimbin H.E.M.P Embassy, Allan
Morris - President of Lismore H.E.M.P, Sam Bernard and
Dave Cannabis of the
Nimbin H.E.M.P Bar and Max
Stone, the nonofficial smokesperson from the radical fringe of the
Australian Cannabis Law
Reform Movement......................
Webgreetings.
So far, we
all agree to attempt the ‘re-manifestation’of a "new" CannaBus- based on the
"old"
1999 Drug Summit
CannaBus– we further all agreed that we should take the new CannaBus (with the "old" 1999 Big Joint
on the roof) upon a 4 and 20 day long “JUST
Cannabis Law Reform Tour” (with live web cam and dedicated website) through
as many marginal electorates as possible in the last couple of weeks before
the federal election in order to ask the candidates in each electorate (in
front of their local media) the following questions......
DO YOU USE CANNABIS NOW?
HAVE YOU USED CANNABIS IN THE PAST?
DO YOU THINK USING CANNABIS IS WORTH GOING TO JAIL FOR?
WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT CANNABIS PROHIBITION IF YOU ARE ELECTED?
We all also agreed there is little doubt that
CANNA are the most obvious and logical sponsors to
approach first, based upon the compatibility of the spelling of their
corporate name and the high quality of their support and other
contributions during the 2004
MardiGrass.

As far as a rough
working schedule, we all agreed that it is proposed that we leave from Nimbin and proceed to
Brisbane, down through Gold Coast and then follow the Pacific Highway to
Newcastle and central coast, a tour of Sydney and then all stops to
Melbourne down the Hume Highway and then back up to Canberra on the Inland
Highway arriving in Canberra a day or so before the election.
Allready, the POTential of
a 2004 CannaBus Tour
has
excited most of the members of the
www.PotRevolution.com crew- in case
anyone reading these words isnt aware of it, the PotRevolution is one of Australia’s largest and longest running cannabis
based internet chat groups, with hundreds of members located all over
Australia, thus we have many support points / pit stops already looking
forward to a visit from the 2004 manifestation of the CannaBus.
We all recognize the fact
that the
overall budget for this mission could run to as much as $24,000 -including
the cost of buying bus - but, as everyone can see in this "CannaBus
2004 Launch Web Site"
we have taken the first step toward manifesting the various components we
will need to ensure that JUST Cannabis Law Reform is one of the issues of
the upcoming Federal election on October 9th.
Till next
Peace
Max Stone>The

BLOG DATE; SEPTEMBER 8 th 2004.
A month and a day
till the election and still no reply from Sean, the CEO of Canna
Australia (high@highlife.com.au)
so what does this auger for the future besides we REALLY need to find
a "joint venture partner" very very quickly?
Here is the last
email I sent to Sean...
Webgreetings once more
Sean.
There are now 5 weeks until the federal election, the cannabus road trip
needs at least 3 of them and buying/painting/setting up the bus will prolly
need another, thus, there is less than a week until we need to know for sure
if canna are interested in being the main supporter/sponsor and what amount
of money Canna can contribute towards a bus, natcherally, after the tour,
ownership of the bus will be canna’s, perhaps even to keep it on the road
and do more tours in the future..
I
would add that without the support of Canna, the Cannabus tour may not
happen as we do not have the time to raise the capital to buy a bus, which
means we would have to borrow a bus and then hit the road with very little
budget, which, of course will impact severely on the professionalism of the
protest and pretty much require us to cancel the tour due to lack of
interest.
Bottom
Line? A quick NO or YES is what we most require!
So that is where we
are up to, natcherally, I will continue to upgrade this information,
so do check back regularly.
till next
